PhillyGoes2College (PG2C), an initiative of the Mayor’s Office on Education, serves as a resource and referral center that connects Philadelphia residents of any age with the help they need to go to college. PG2C promotes and supports a college-going culture among citizens of all ages through community access and engagement, and by providing high-quality college-going information and resource referrals that are current, comprehensive, and easily accessible.

PhillyGoes2College offers an extensive range of programs, events, information, and workshops to increase college attainment rates in Philadelphia, including:

  • Connect2College: Last fall, PG2C launched Connect2College, a comprehensive strategy to address low college attainment rates in Philadelphia. Connnect2College utilizes multiple modes of service to provide college access information to residents, including a comprehensive website, community-based computer labs, one-on-one appointments, and a mobile texting platform:
  • Connect2College Text Outreach: One of the best ways to reach young people in 2015 is via mobile text messaging.
