Philly Free Streets
Mayor Jim Kenney walks with participants in a Philly Free Streets event.

The Managing Director’s Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS) introduces Philly Free Streets, a family-friendly program that promotes active transportation—walking and biking—and highlights the intersection of transportation and public health by temporarily closing streets to vehicular traffic, in favor of planned and unplanned fitness, art, and social activities. Philly Free Streets route will change year over year, aiming to connect the City’s diverse neighborhoods, and to support local businesses along the City’s many vibrant commercial corridors.
