Philadelphia Young Playwright's Library Residency, which received grant from the Mayor's Fund in its 2018 cycle.

The Mayor’s Fund for Philadelphia is proud to be able to support the Philadelphia community through its annual grantmaking program. The last grant cycle offered by the Fund was a COVID-19 related grant cycle in early 2020. Since many in the nonprofit community are in the midst of planning for the next fiscal year, we wanted to provide interim information related to our grant programs.

Our community grants are made possible because of the success of the Philadelphia Marathon. Due to the event restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no Marathon in 2020. We recently learned that the Philadelphia Marathon will be back in 2021 at a reduced capacity. As a result, we are not in a position to know whether there will be sufficient funds to run the high-quality events of Marathon weekend and still meet the current level of Mayor’s Fund grants.

If you wish to be notified when we are able to announce the next grant opportunity, please email emily.gowen@phila.gov to be added to our mailing list. We expect to know more by the Fall of 2021 at which time we will update you. Thank you for all of the work that you do!
