About the Fund
Our Mission & Values
The Mission of the Mayor's Fund for Philadelphia is to advance the Mayor’s goals through leveraging public-private partnerships to the benefit of the citizens of Philadelphia.
The Mayor's Fund for Philadelphia is a 501(c)(3) that works in close partnership with the City of Philadelphia, private sector businesses, and community-based organizations to advance initiatives that reflect Mayoral priorities and seek to improve the quality of life for all Philadelphians.
Serving as a fiscal agent for the City of Philadelphia, the Mayor’s Fund manages between $7-$10 million annually, on behalf of more than 70 active programs. These programs support priority areas such as public safety, education, business and economic development, culture and the creative economy, civic engagement, government ethics, and emergency preparedness.
The Mayor's Fund for Philadelphia is committed to fully integrating the following values into all that it does. These are the principles that guide our work on behalf of the Mayor, and for the residents of Philadelphia:
The Fund is committed to a superior level of stewardship of all public and private funds, with the highest standard of integrity, transparency and efficiency.
We seek to integrate equality in all that we do as an employer, funder, and in our role as a point of entry for public-private partnerships in Philadelphia.
The Fund will facilitate collaboration between Philadelphia's public, private and nonprofit sectors to ensure a successful and prosperous Philadelphia.
The Fund is committed to excellence in all that it does, and to always go the extra step for the residents of Philadelphia.
